Introduction
On September 13, 2011, Union des consommateurs and the representative Plaintiff Jean-Pierre Drevillon, filed into Court a request for permission to institute a class action.
On January 21, 2013, the Superior Court of Quebec rendered a judgment authorizing the institution of a class action.
On February 29, 2016, the Union des consommateurs, represented by Kugler Kandestin, finalized an Out of Court Settlement Agreement with Concession A25, s.e.c. and the Attorney General of Quebec.
On May 20, 2016, the Court approved the Settlement.
The group
In short, the group consists of all individuals whose vehicle drove on the bridge serving the A25 highway between the bridge’s opening to the public and April 30, 2013 and who paid administration fees as a result of the fact that their vehicle was not equipped with a transponder (the detailed and official definition of the group is found in the Claims Form (schedule 1 of the Settlement Agreement).
For the members of the group who must complete a Claims Form, said form must be filled out and returned online by no later than August 28, 2016.

Important update
The deadline for submitting a claim was August 28, 2016 and has now expired.
Please note that the Administrator will forward, by mail in a delay of ninety (90) days following the claim deadline, a cheque to each eligible member whose claim has been accepted.
The Administrator will forward, within the same delay of ninety (90) days folllowing the claim deadline, to the email address of those persons whose claims were refused, a letter informing them of the refusal and the reasons for the refusal.
